Court Date! January 26, 2008

We have a court date of Feb 15th, and we were able to chose Solomon’s Birthday Oct 17th as well as Emmanuel’s Aug 1st.
I bought socks and bottles with liners, finished Emmanuel’s blanket, washed all the windows on one side of the house, ordered a rug for the living room and gifts for D for his birthday, he wants tri tip steak, key lime cheese cake, and roasted peppers potatoes and onions, I think I am going to go get fresh oysters and make shrimp cocktails too!
My brother is having his baby in three weeks or less his name is Jace I can’t wait to see him, I have had three nephew’s in a years time.
We finally sold our land cruiser! I can’t believe it!
I have tons of things to do, the kids start a new semester at school.
Tonight we are going out for thai food (my addiction)

Last night we did some more celebrating of our 13th wedding anniversary, we first went perfume shopping at my most fav store
in the world its a small boutique that mainly sells unique perfumes as well as handmade jewelry (way to expensive) and “Fresh” makeup my favorite line, they sell french baby clothes and fine linens as well as soaps and lotions, what more could a girl want in a store.
After smelling EVERY perfume in the store we narrowed it down to three sents and then two and then finally one clearly this was purely the best perfume in the entire world, one that only mio can wear!

Smoked Pheasant Tart

Don’t vote for Hillary Clinton January 13, 2008

scary-hillary-clinton.jpg
I found this when I was researching Hillary below, and as my husband said this morning “I would defidently be proud of being american if Obama was president”

“Clinton rejoined the running argument over hope and “false hope” in an interview in Dover this afternoon, reminding Fox’s Major Garrett that while Martin Luther King Jr. spoke on behalf of civil rights, President Lyndon Johnson was the one who got the legislation passed.

Hillary was asked about Obama’s rejoinder that there’s something vaguely un-American about dismissing hopes as false, and that it doesn’t jibe with the careers of figures like like John F. Kennedy and King.

“Dr. King’s dream began to be realized when President Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act,” Clinton said. “It took a president to get it done.” (Ya whatever and did Johnson got shot for getting it done.. ??what about MLK Jr???)

Our house in the middle of the .. street or nowhere January 6, 2008

I am so thankful for having a house versus a bus or growing up in a school bus, tents small trailers, step vans and tee pees, corners of peoples property sides of peoples barns edges of peoples cow pastures, having a house is FUN and a luxury to say the least, but I love living in small cramped cozy places as well with no plumbing and no indoor bathroom, thats why in the summer we live on the deck in our tent with our comfortable mattress we listen to the coyotes and watch the falling stars.

We are spending the weekend in Canada trying to get some of the things we need to get done two bring home Solomon and Emmanuel, plus other stuff, like celebrating our 13 year anniversary.. I can’t believe it I need to post some wedding photos they are crazy D had
dread locks and I was like size-0 with my hideous wedding dress, it was really hideous it was like a gunnysack dress made out of polyester, my dad actually found it in a shipping container on its way to china to make rags..go figure, but I was desperate and needed a dress it really did look cute but the fabric was anything but elegant, D got his crushed velvet three piece suit at a costume store, we did have a funk band play after our wedding.
The best part of our wedding was our small reception at my bridesmade house her greek mother and grandmother made this amazing greek dinner for about 20 people it was very romantic.
It was also very romantic going back to our school bus below a car dealership next to a water treatment plant with our closest “neighbors” being a trailer park, oh wait they were not our closest neighbors the demolition company was with non stop heavy equipment being brought in and out, Oh wait not them it was the band house with non stop band practice going on day and night most of the guys living there did not have jobs so they could practice anytime, the most classy thing about this living situation was being able to go in and use the shower that at least 11 people used and using the laundry room as well with no light and so much laundry all over the place as well as a cat litter box, it was no wonder I cried myself to sleep every night and when we did get a chance to get away it was usually packed in a van with half of the people from that house if there was a definition for hell this would be close.
Some of the people living there were cool like an actual famous musician who was independently wealthy so he didn’t work he just banged away on the piano ALL day and told me how much he was in love with this married woman, there were three other guys one worked at 711 he wore a kilt and packed a hand gun, the other was in school to be a massage therapist I would not let this guy touch me with a ten foot pole he was FREAKY, and the other was an EX wana be rocker recovering alcoholic named Dave when I first met this guy he made me eat a hot pepper telling me it wasn’t hot, they set up a tent in the middle of one of the rooms and took turns sleeping in it.
I actually feel very fortunate that no harm came to the two women living there it honestly was a miracle
My parents were hippies but I never encountered anything like this before, and I really don’t want to ever again.
We booked a room at the holida-y In, not usually my favorite…ha! but it has a double suite and a pool for the kids and best of all we ordered in Indian food, it was the best I have had in three years since we moved from LA
